Batteries are rated by the number of ampere hours. If you find out how many amperes a stereo uses, you can calculate how long the battery will last. Car batteries are made to produce a lot of current for a few seconds. A deep cycle marine battery would be better. Or you could get a ghetto blaster with rechargeable D batteries.
