Carrot baby food on homemade quilt -- Help!!?

My grandson spilled carrot puree on a quilt I made for him, now his mother is asking me how to clean it. I am not the fount of all knowledgen she thinks I am, so Please Help. How do we get it out without damaging the quilt?
