Since Jesus was a Jew, would he have ever taken Genesis literally.?

As I've said before the Jews know their history and the history of the creation story. As an Essene, I'm sure Christ knew the history and didn't take it literally. So many people choose to ignore the similarities between Bible stories and stories from other ancient cultures.
