Would you say this guy is whipped?

Ihave a guy friend who has this girl hes been involved with whom he stopped talking to for a few weeks, so now he doesnt wanna go out with friends or do anything,he just sit alone and think about this person all the time, he even made up a fake memo, so that his friend could give it to her, which had his phone number, and the date that they met was on there,..lol he would go on facebook to see if shes on there, so he says he stopped going on facebook because he says its because "she" doesnt go on there anymore, plus he prank called her a few times, does this mean hes infatuated, love or lust?
